Indisputable Video Evidence

We were lucky enough to catch Anara's third and fourth rollovers on video.

Facebookers: Click "View Original Post" at the bottom to watch the videos.

Rollover #3:

Rollover #4:

Jamie says that Anara rolled over from her back to her belly today, but I didn't see it, so it hasn't officially happened.

Rolling On The...Bed?

Anara can now roll over. Or, at the very least, she's done it a second time, implying that the first time wasn't a fluke.

And, thankfully, she learned how to roll from her belly to her back first.  Sorry, Marie, your curse didn't work!

Interactive Anara

Warning: The videos may not come through for those of you reading on Facebook.
Anara has reached the age where she's becoming a lot more interactive. She's moved beyond the early trifecta of eating, sleeping, and pooping. She's awake for longer stretches, and has started smiling and trying to giggle.

She's also starting to find her voice, mostly sounding like a cat or a bird.

She's found a way to express her displeasure instead of crying.

And, last of all, she's figured out how to imitate her mother.

Hopefully we'll have some video soon of her rolling over (she's considering trying it), or starting to eat (we're considering trying it).

Sorry for the Delay

I apologize for the lack of posts. I'm lazy.

But anyways, here are a few photos to get you up to date.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Merry Christmas!

And Happy New Year!

I'll try to be a bit more timely in the future. And maybe I'll even post some videos.

Anara's First Visitors

For such a young little girl, Anara has had a lot of visitors already.

She had her very first visitors in the hospital. Amma Lo was there at the very beginning, and probably would have caught Anara if the nurses hadn't physically restrained her.

When she was two days old and still at the hospital, her Tita Julie and Tito Ivan came to meet her, along with Grandma and Grandpa Carrillo.

Her next visitors were her cousins, Lillyann and Sydney, who had a good time staring at Anara while she slept (which she did for most of the weekend).

Then, Anara finally got to meet Grandma and Grandpa Williams!

One of Anara's Kiwi Uncles, Rob from New Zealand, stopped by for a couple of hours (and a Double-Double from In-N-Out).

Anara recently met Aunt Liz, Uncle Matt, and her new friend Connor. Connor eyed Anara warily, then went off to be Liz's sous chef (they made lasagna!), while Anara ate, slept, and stared.

Finally, Anara got to meet Uncle Michael, who was on his way back to Canada from New Zealand. They decided to play one of Anara's favorite games: who can make their nap last longer. Surprisingly, Uncle Mike won!

Growing Anara!

I've shamelessly stolen this idea from Marie, and I have no qualms about doing so.

We're taking pictures of Anara on every month anniversary, using objects for a size reference.

First, Anara at one month:

And here she is at two months old:

One in a continuing series.
